Tom Grennan has gone from strength to strength over the past year or so, his strong catalogue of tunes is ever growing in preparation for the all important debut album release next year.
“Found What I’ve Been Looking For” represents Grennan’s latest outing, an addition to an ever growing catalogue of fine, soulful tunes. Perhaps the most anthemic of them all, the Bedford born singer incorporates heavy guitar chorus’ with an obvious, strong drum backbeat. Mixing this with his fine lyricism, it is clear that the single is something quite special and is already a huge fan favourite.
Mixing acoustic guitar with poignant and relevant lyricism, he displays all the right qualities of a future star. Having been named as part of this year’s BBC Sound of 2017 list, Grennan has increased touring commitments with festival dates and an autumn tour already in the pipeline.
Mixing catchy chorus with elegant guitar riffs and soulful voice, “Found What I’ve Been Looking For” is a fine example of Grennan’s intriguing talent. It is at times heavy and could stand its own in the large arenas in which the singer/songwriter is no doubt fated to.
His latest single follows the realse of two successful EP’s in the form of “Release The Breaks” and “Something In The Water.” Released in 2017 and 2016 respectively, they both form the basis of a breakthrough year like no other. The set of songs have already impressed at festivals such as Dot to Dot and TRNSMT and will no doubt hold their own long into the future.
