Splendour 2018: Stage Times, Line-Up & Ticket Details

Nottingham’s biggest day out returns this Saturday! Splendour celebrates its 10th birthday in some fashion with a low ticket warning already being announced. Hot weather, ambient settings and a day of memorable music is all to be expected as Wollaton Park once more plays host to the East Midlands’ premier music festival.

Taking place on Saturday 21st July 2018, the 10th anniversary party sees Paloma Faith, The Charlatans, Marc Almond, Bjorn Again and more take to the famous main stage alongside a tonne of special guests yet to be announced. The second stage, focusing on more alternate sounds, sees The Stranglers, Embrace, Peace and Ferocious Dog all return to a city which has played host to a tonne famous musical memory’s already.

Eudaemonia once more will take the side of alternative music including The Charlatans and Peace. The latter are currently preparing for the release of third album Kindness Is The New Rock and Roll on May 4th 2018. Already released hits including ‘Power’ and ‘From Under Liquid Glass’ are second to none, true anthems which will surely see the Birmingham band achieve even more chart success.

The festival has already played home to a variety of well known bands and musicians in the past. Previous line ups include Kaiser Chiefs, Jess Glynne, Billy Ocean, The Specials, James, The Human League, Happy Mondays, Bananarama, Lawson, Jake Bugg, Madness, The Darkness, Pet Shop Boys and Calvin Harris. 2017, for example, was one of the city’s best, with Kaiser Chiefs topping a bill which included Black Grape, Buzzcocks, Georgie and more!

Located at the famous Wollaton Park, Nottingham, not too far from the city’s university district, Splendour is now far more than just a musical day. Community attractions, elegant food stalls and kids entertainment spaces all exist within the parameters of the festival. It is THE perfect day out for family, friends and music lovers alike.
